About us

With over 30+ years of experience in the industry, Skytera Constructors was established in 2022 shortly after Hurricane Ian. The company was formed that November by Thomas R. Whelan III only to help out his fellow neighbors whose homeowner insurance companies were severely failing them or, were going bankrupt. Mr. Whelan was already a State certified general contractor (CGC) license holder and was employed as a Senior Project Manager with another GC firm at the time. While working nights and weekends in efforts to not only, protect his friends and neighbors from falling victim to fraudulent contractors but, also help get his friends and neighbors homes back to livable conditions while often deferring payments for his time until the insurance claims were settled. Fast forward to 2025, Skytera has grown and is now Mr. Whelan's 100% all in commitment. Skytera remains dedicated to providing quality workmanship and services for all of Skytera's clients. There is NO job that is TOO SMALL.
